Tiny Wind Mills for Generating Electricity

Imagine having a Windmill in your hand to charge your mobile!!! Yes, with the latest research and prototype development using MEMS [Microelectromechanical Systems] by Professor J.C. Chiao and Dr. Smitha Rao of the University of Texas at Arlington likely could make it possible.

This technology  could shake up the power industry and make emergency recharges possible. Unlike the industrial windmills these windmills measure just 1.8 millimeters, to tell you more, 10 windmills of such type could fit in a small grain of rice!

A demo video shown below;

Apart from being proposed to get used for charging the mobiles, this small windmills will  be a great gift to charge the sensors and devices which is installed at a  very high from ground and collecting data for sensitive research and applications.
