Dear Stakeholders of Tirupur,

Wishes & Greetings!!!

In India, industry is the 2nd highest consumer of water. Industrial water demand has been increasing with the pace of industrial development. The inefficient use of water remains a normal practice. Textile is one among the significant consumer of water.

Tirupur is known for its Zero Liquid Discharge – ZLD system, in which the process water use is completely reused after Treatment. Yet Tirupur’s Manufacturers have not yet harvested the advantage of being a sustainable manufacturer, We at VRNC have been assisting Tirupur’s manufacturers to brand and position their business as “Sustainable Sourcing Destination” to their Brands. Through our Strategic Engagement with CII-GBC in the Year 2017 an MoU was facilitated between CII & TEA (Tirupur Exporters Association), Through which the Members and Stakeholders of Tirupur have been facilitated with various Sustainability Initiatives such as Energy & Resource Efficiency Audits, Cleaner Production Initiatives.

As a Next steps towards Sustainability Initiative, A New Project to help 30 Manufacturers of Tirupur Industries on Water Stewardship & Cleaner Production is Proposed and going to get implemented with World Wildlife Fund Support in Collaboration with CIIGBC.
