Cleantech solutions are the key to a cleaner, greener future! Join the Noyyal Bhavani program, initiated by WWF-India’s Rivers, Wetlands, & Water Policy division, and discover the latest sustainable solutions for the textile industry. The program has successfully engaged with 50 textile units, focusing on five value-chain operations of textile production (spinning, knitting, dyeing, printing, and garments), with a particular emphasis on dyeing and finishing units due to their high freshwater requirements.

Through the program, industries have identified 498 opportunities for improvement in seven segments, including energy, water, materials, productivity, renewable energy, safety, & sewage treatment. The program has estimated energy savings of 34 lakh kWh/annum and water savings of 3.81 lakh KL/Annum, resulting in significant economic benefits for enrolled industries.

Benefits Gained by Participating Factories

  1. The identified energy savings are estimated at 34 lakh kWh per year.
  2. The total water savings were estimated at 3.81 lakh KL per year.
  3. Implementation review of 20 factories reveals that they have achieved water savings of 1.41 Lakh KL/Annum and
  4. Energy savings of 17.1 Lakh kWh per year,
  5. Which has been estimated as savings of INR 673.15 lakh per annum.

The program provides technical training, vendor engagements, and improvement plans tailored to the specific needs of each industry, helping them achieve sustainability goals while remaining economically viable.
