CII GBC has developed a new rating system for industries to work towards the Net Zero Water Mandate – on ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge). A guideline has been developed in collaboration with industry stalwarts. I am glad that I am also part of the core team that developed this rating, along with my friends and industry stalwarts like Shri. Suresh Manoharan, Shri. Boopathi, Shri. Sudhakar, Shri. Vimal kumar and contributed insights.

This rating can be applied by any industry that wishes to get certified for their Water Stewardship Best Practices and achieve Net Zero on Water.

To discuss this newly developed ZLD rating, a program has been organized by CII – Green Business Centre on 11th June 2026 – 05:30 PM (Tomorrow) at RK Residency, Tirupur. 

“The Net Zero Pathway: ZLD Certifications & Opportunities for the Textile Industry“. The programme will focus on ZLD Certifications, GreenCo Ratings, Net Zero transition, technology innovations, and sustainability opportunities for the textile sector.
